A Westchester County woman is facing multiple felony charges in connection with a crash that killed a Connecticut man in Putnam County in January.

Connecticut man dies in crash
Michael T. Keller, 65, of New Milford, Connecticut, died in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 684
in the town of Southeast on the morning of Jan. 26, according to New York State Police.Makayla S. McIntyre, 23, of Mount Vernon, was driving north when she lost control of her vehicle, troopers said. Her vehicle struck a guide rail, crossed all lanes of travel and collided with Keller's vehicle, according to State Police.
Both vehicles left the highway, struck the median and overturned. Keller died at the scene, while McIntyre suffered
minor injuries, police said.
Driver facing felony charges
McIntyre was indicted earlier this month in Putnam County on three felony charges:
- Second-degree manslaughter
- Second-degree assault
- Criminally negligent homicide
She also faces two misdemeanor charges:
- Second-degree reckless endangerment
- Reckless driving
McIntyre is also facing numerous violations of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law.
What's next
McIntyre was arraigned Aug. 17 in Putnam County Supreme Court and released on her own recognizance, according to State Police.
She is scheduled to return to court at a later date. The case remains pending.
