Trader Joe's says its popular micro tote bags will return to stores, though the company has not announced when they will be back on shelves.
The miniature bags, which measure about 4.5 inches by 3.5 inches, quickly became one of the grocery chain's most sought-after items.
A Trader Joe's spokesperson said there is currently no timeline for their return.
Westchester County Trader Joe's locations are in Hartsdale, Larchmont, Scarsdale and Yorktown. A fifth store is planned for Yonkers.
Why are Trader Joe's micro totes so popular?
The tiny canvas bags became a social media sensation after their release.
USA TODAY Network's Asbury Park Press described the micro totes as essentially a "bag for your bag," designed to hold one of Trader Joe's larger reusable tote bags.

Trader Joe's has adjusted how it releases limited-edition tote bags, including using a uniform release date across stores and limiting the number customers can purchase.
"We're grocers, not mathematicians, but even we can notice a clear geometrical corollary when one presents itself, and it'd be hard not to notice an inverse relationship between the size of a Canvas Tote and the commotion it causes among our customers," Trader Joe's said on its website. "In other words, the smaller the Tote, the bigger the excitement."

Trader Joe's has sold canvas tote bags since 1977 and has expanded the lineup over the years.
"We've also offered insulated totes, washable paper totes, collapsible stand-up totes, and a variety of other reusable bags in various designs and materials," spokesperson Nakia Rohde said.
Most recently, Trader Joe's released striped canvas mini tote bags on June 17 in four colors: pale pink, sky blue, seafoam green and desert sand. The bags sold for $2.99 each and measured 13 inches long, 11 inches tall and 6 inches wide.
