PEARL RIVER — Tommy Mahoney ran for 176 yards and three touchdowns as host Pearl River crushed Nanuet 42-0 Friday night in the teams' annual Little Brown Jug game.
Nanuet couldn't control the senior running back, who will play Div. I lacrosse next year for Cornell.
It also didn't do itself any favors with a bad snap on a planned punt on its first possession sailing back to the 5-yard line, a touchdown called back due to a penalty and then a big gain into Pearl River territory going for nothing.
The next play was a fumble recovered by Pearl River.
The Little Brown Jug win was Pearl River's fourth consecutive.
Pearl River hosts Briarcliff at 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10. Nanuet visits Panas next week.
