One New York-based show is in the running for multiple Emmy Awards tonight, Monday, Sept. 14.
"Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette" is nominated for six awards at the 78th annual Emmy Awards and has already won one. The FX and Hulu series, which drew strong ratings earlier this year, was filmed almost entirely in New York City.

NY-based show receives six Emmy nominations
"Love Story," a nine-episode limited series, was inspired by Elizabeth Beller's book "Once Upon a Time: The Captivating Life of Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy." It stars Paul Anthony Kelly as Kennedy Jr., the son of President John F. Kennedy and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, and Sarah Pidgeon as Bessette.
New
York played a major role in both the real-life romance and the show's filming locations. Bessette was born in White Plains in 1966. Kennedy Jr. moved to New York City with his mother and sister after his father's assassination in 1963 and later graduated from NYU School of Law in 1989.
