A Suffern woman died Monday after her vehicle crashed into a garbage truck on Route 202 in Ramapo.
Head-on crash in Ramapo
The garbage truck and the woman's sedan collided head-on around 10:38 a.m. on Route 202 near Wilder Road in Wesley Hills, according to Ramapo police.
The driver of the sedan, a 38-year-old Suffern woman, was pronounced dead at the scene. A 37-year-old Suffern resident who was riding in the sedan was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The garbage truck driver, a 38-year-old Haverstraw man, remained at the scene and cooperated with police. He showed no signs of drug or alcohol impairment when tested.
Crash remains under investigation
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, police said.
