One person was killed and another was seriously injured Sunday morning in a head-on crash on Long Island’s Northern State Parkway, according to New York State Police.
A preliminary investigation found that a 2007 Ford Escape and a 2023 Ford Maverick were involved in a head-on collision.
The driver of the Ford Maverick died at the scene from their injuries, police said. The driver of the Ford Escape was taken to a local hospital with serious physical injuries.
Investigation ongoing
State police said the investigation remains ongoing.
