TheAmerican Express Centurion Lounge at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and the Capital One Landing airport lounge at LaGuardia Airport came in No. 2 and 3 respectively for best airport lounges in the nation, according to a recent ranking from USA TODAY 10BEST Readers' Choice Awards.
The list, which came out Oct. 14, recognizes standout destinations, businesses and experiences across travel, food, drink and lifestyle. Nominations are made by a panel of experts, vetted by 10BEST editors, and then voted on by the public.
The American Express Centurion Lounge, at JFK's Terminal Four, Level Four, welcomes American Express Platinum, Business Platinum and Corporate Platinum cardholders
as well as Centurion Members, and features a speakeasy, specialty coffee and cuisine from Uruguayan-born chef Ignacio Mattos.
The Capital One Landing, at LaGuardia's Terminal B, won over readers for its spaced-out seating and a partial view of the iconic New York City skyline. Readers also appreciate its artfully decorated walls and primarily Spanish cuisine.
Other winners include the American Express Centurion Lounge at Miami International Airport (MIA), which came in first, along with the Capital One Landing at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA), the Capital One Lounge at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), the Alaska Airlines North Satellite Lounge at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA), Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club at Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club at Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and the Delta Sky Club at Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC).
The 10Best also lists best airport for dining, best bar, best grab-and-go food and best sit-down restaurant, the latter of which goes to Cask & Larder at Orlando International Airport (MCO). The full list of winners is at 10best.usatoday.com/awards/best-airport-lounge.
