It's time to determine which varsity sports team in the Lower Hudson Valley is Top Team of the Week, presented by White Plains Hospital, for the period from September 21 to Sept. 27.
Each week, we will accept nominations from athletic departments and team coaches. Then you vote on which team should be Team of the Week.
We encourage departments and coaches to participate. This weekly poll is open to varsity teams (not football) from Westchester, Rockland and Putnam only. Football teams will be included in our Football Team of the Week poll. Email Phil Strum at pstrum@lohud.com with any other questions.
The poll, which will run Sunday-Tuesday throughout the school year, closes at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29.

Blind Brook girls volleyball
The Trojans, coached by Gina Carlone, went 3-0 with sweeps of Woodlands, Albertus Magnus and a 3-1 win over Yonkers Montessori. The win over YMA was the 100th career win for Carlone.
Byram Hills girls soccer
The Bobcats are 6-0 this season after winning only five games in 2025. Byram Hills upset Harrison 3-0 on Friday, shut out Ursuline 2-0 on Wednesday and beat Rye Neck 8-2 on Tuesday.
Hendrick Hudson girls tennis
The Sailors, coached by Brad Fredman, have won eight straight matches this season, including wins in the last week over Walter Panas, Woodlands and Tappan Zee, winning 15 of 15 matches, dropping five total games.
Maria Regina girls volleyball
The Tigers, coached by Liz Pugsley, picked up a 3-1 win over Ursuline on Monday and a 3-1 win over Mary Louis Academy on Wednesday.
