A man wanted in a double homicide in the Bronx this summer was arrested after allegedly pistol whipping a woman in New Rochelle, police said.
Ronald Rashad Givhan, 42, was taken into custody Monday, Sept. 7, at an apartment in Brooklyn.
Shortly after 4:30 am Sunday, New Rochelle police responding to a report of a serious domestic assault at a 1st Street apartment found a 31-year-old woman with serious injuries to her eye and face. Givhan was identified as a suspect but had left the apartment.
New Rochelle detectives teamed up with New York City police and the FBI and Givhan was found Monday at the apartment in Brooklyn and arrested without incident. Police said he lives in Brooklyn.

He was turned over to Bronx detectives to face charges in the June 18 fatal shooting of Curtis Brown and Egbert Rutherford in Soundview.
New Rochelle Capt. J. Collins Coyne said Givhan is expected to be charged with first-degree assault in connection with the pistol whipping.
