DeCicco & Sons will open its first Connecticut grocery store Sept. 9, 2026, the company announced.
The new store at 21 Glenville St. in Greenwich's Glenville neighborhood is close to the New York state line and a short drive from parts of Westchester County, including Rye Brook and Purchase.
The opening date was announced on social media Wednesday, Sept. 2.
When will DeCicco & Sons open in Greenwich?
The Greenwich store is scheduled to open Sept. 9.
Anticipation has been building around the opening, which had been expected sometime in August or September.
Greenwich First Selectman Fred Camillo said in an Aug. 21 post on the town's website that he had been in contact with DeCicco & Sons and expected the store to open within three weeks.
"I know people are very eager to see this store open and
I am one of them," Camillo said. "It is so important to have a grocery store on the western side of town."
Where is the new DeCicco & Sons store?

The store is located at 21 Glenville St. in Greenwich's Glenville neighborhood, near the New York-Connecticut border.
It will be DeCicco & Sons' first location outside New York.
The company operates multiple stores in Westchester County, including locations in Armonk and Sleepy Hollow. Its most recent Westchester opening was in Sleepy Hollow.
DeCicco & Sons also has a location in Brewster in Putnam County.
The Armonk store is directly north of Greenwich, making the new Connecticut location another nearby option for shoppers in the area.
What are shoppers saying?
The opening announcement drew enthusiastic responses on DeCicco & Sons' Instagram account.
One commenter wrote, "Guys — we can't begin to tell you how THRILLED we are — see you then!!!!!"
Another commenter wrote, "Fairfield next, please!" — apparently referring to Fairfield, Connecticut, farther east.
