WEST NYACK - Landon Van Etten scored four touchdowns, including the go-ahead score - a 34-yard run with 5:14 left in the fourth quarter as Clarkstown South defeated Rye, 35-28, on Thursday.
The teams were tied 21-21 entering the fourth quarter. Frankie Brennan threw a 52-yard screen pass to Christian Termine to give the Vikings a 28-21 lead with 11:50 left. Rye's response was a 28-yard touchdown pass from Charlie Brady to Luke Denvir to tie the game at 28-28 with 7:07 left.
Clarkstown South visits Harrison at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 17. Rye hosts Eastchester at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 18.
