We're once again opening each week of the football season by spotlighting some of the individuals who performed exceptionally well over the weekend. Take a look at what our finalists got done on the field, then vote for the lohud Football Player of the Week, presented by White Plains Hospital.
The poll will remain open until Wednesday at 3 p.m. and we'll feature the winner on lohud sports social media accounts.

Luke Balancia, Somers
The junior running back totaled 149 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries in a win over rival Mahopac. He also caught a 15-yard pass.
Jackson Barr, Greeley
The senior quarterback completed 8 of 15 passes for 170 yards and two touchdowns and carried 14 times
for 72 yards and two TDs in a win over Port Chester.
Tyler Caricati, Yorktown
The senior running back finished with 101 yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries and two receptions for 17 yards and two touchdowns. He also made five tackles in a win over Brewster.
Harry Finkelberg, Pleasantville
The senior linebacker was in on 20 tackles and helped the Panthers hold Dobbs Ferry to seven points. He was also credited with 1.5 tackles for a loss and one sack.
Luke Foisset, Valhalla
The senior running back and linebacker carried 30 times for 348 yards and three touchdowns. He also caught two passes for 30 yards and made 10 tackles in a win over Tuckahoe.
Will Gould, Nyack
The sophomore quarterback completed 20 of 31 attempts for 258 yards and two touchdowns in his first varsity start, a win over John Jay-Cross River.
Shane Kelly, Scarsdale
The junior running back was a model of efficiency in a win over John Jay-East Fishkill, getting 226 yards and three touchdowns on eight carries.
Tommy Mahoney, Pearl River
The senior running back delivered 124 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries in a win over Hastings/Greenburgh-North Castle.
Nahum Pierre, Stepinac
The junior running back went for 330 yards and two touchdowns on 27 carries and caught a 70-yard TD pass in a 48-42 loss to St. Anthony's.
Jaxon Strickland, Clarkstown South
The senior wide receiver and defensive back made seven tackles, one for a loss, and picked off a Harrison pass to end a comeback win. He also caught three passes, the last on fourth-and-13 to keep the game-winning drive on track.
