What is the story about?

These are the kind of dyed in the wool football players you need on that proverbial wall.

With the season winding down, we're recognizing the lohud Glue Guys, leaders who are not typically in the spotlight but impact the game on and off the field. Their contributions are often difficult to measure statistically.

Take, for instance, New Rochelle senior linebacker Joe Morello. He was a unanimous choice for captain who missed Senior Day with an injury but spent the entire week coaching up his backup, Malachi Ceneus, who had a big game in a win over North Rockland.

Intangible contributions win games.
