The Pleasantville Farmers Market is one of the largest year-round farmers markets in Westchester County.
The market hosts more than 60 vendors and includes a variety of fresh greens, meats, dairy items, root crops, apples, prepared foods and more.
In addition to all the food, the market organizes weekly music, kids events, and a health and culinary series including chef demos, nutritionist visits and an annual apple pie contest.
The market is run by Foodchester, Inc., a volunteer-based nonprofit organized by Pleasantville residents in 2012. According to the market’s website, the organization aims to support regional agriculture, healthy eating, community togetherness and more.
If you go: The market is open year-round. Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Saturdays in April through December, and 9:30 a.m. to noon Saturdays in January through March.
