A rivaly win is good.
Forcing the defending state champions to win a playoff game or two on the road in order to repeat is better. Harrison is in position to make the road a little harder for Rye with a win this week at Nugent Stadium. This is The Game, simply the best rivalry in Section 1 and maybe the state.
The Garnets are 22-3 in this game over the last 25 years, but this could be a very interesting matchup between the No. 7 and No. 8 teams in this week's lohud Section 1 rankings.
