Every week, readers select the lohud Field Hockey Player of the Week, presented by White Plains Hospital.
Last week coaches nominated five players and voters selected Clarkstown South junior Alexa Butler, who had a very strong defensive game and scored twice in a 6-0 Clarkstown win over Nyack.
Butler joined the list of previous winners, Mahopac's Taylor Stillwaggon, Valhalla's Sophia Gac, North Rockland's Lila Walsh and Rye Country Day's Bailey Donovan.
This week, coaches have nominated five athletes for their Sept. 28-Oct. 4 play. Below is a list of their accomplishments over that period
The poll will close Wednesday at 3 p.m. with the winner announced on lohudsports Instagram.

Alina Cavajani, Panas
The senior goalie, who, regardless of the opponent or score, is known
for her ability to quarterback the Panthers defense, used her athleticism, anticipation and strong angle play to stop 21 shots during a loss to undefeated Lakeland.
Kaitlyn Coyne, Rye
The junior forward tallied two hat tricks during two Garnets wins last week with three goals in a 5-0 win over Scarsdale and three in a 6-1 win over Harrison.
Ana Galati, Clarkstown
The Clarkstown South senior played a big part in Clarkstown's two wins and tie last week, stabilizing the defense, while driving the offense, in part by going around defenders multiple times to create scoring chances. She also got on the scoresheet with a goal and two assists in the win against North Rockland and with a goal in the win over Ketcham.
Belina Lajqi, Putnam Valley
The junior forward, who's Putnam Valley's leading goal-scorer this season, scored seven times over three Tigers wins last week. She netted four against Panas, one against Nanuet and two against Croton/Hen Hud.
Caroline McCarthy, Pleasantville
The Panthers went 3-0 last week with the senior defenseman playing a big role in those wins, including in a 1-0 overtime win over North Salem. Over the three games, she had multiple block tackles and interceptions and also stopped multiple breakaways. While largely recognized for her defense, McCarthy scored twice in Pleasantville's win over Valhalla/Westlake.
