Homecoming and Senior Day nearly became collateral damage when ongoing numbers issues forced Croton to forfeit the remainder of the season. In part, to ensure the festivities would not be impacted, Haldane, Irvington, Magnus, Rye Neck and Woodlands have adjusted their league schedules.
Adjusting on the fly can be messy, but it was the right thing to do.
Tuckahoe filled an open date created when Haldane didn't have enough players for a Week 1 contest. The Tigers decided to get on a coach bus Friday and head out to Suffolk County to play Kings Park. It's a rare NYSPHSAA-Long Island football crossover. The Kingsmen were left with an open date when Port Jefferson shuttered its program.
