A Garnerville man was arrested after allegedly having images of children engaging in sexual conduct on his electronic devices, the Rockland District Attorney's Office said.
Chrisner Joseph, 34, was arraigned Aug. 18 in West Haverstraw Justice Court on a felony charge of possessing a sexual performance by a child.
Following a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in April the case was investigated by the Rockland DA's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and New York State police.
After Joseph's electronic devices were seized when a search warrant was executed at his home in June, investigators found several images depicting sexual conduct
by children younger than 16, the DA's Office said.
Joseph was released as the felony charge was not bail-eligible. He faces up to four years in prison if convicted.
