Former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg is expected to attend a rally for NY-17 Democratic candidate Cait Conley in Tarrytown on Sept. 16.
The rally is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 16, at 6:15 p.m. in Tarrytown. A venue has not yet been announced, but people wishing to attend must RSVP here.
Other featured speakers expected to attend include Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins and New York state Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins.
Conley, an Orange County native and Army combat veteran, won a five-way Democratic primary in June. She is challenging incumbent Republican Rep. Mike Lawler in the Nov. 3 general election for the district, which includes Rockland, Putnam and parts of Westchester and Dutchess counties.

Buttigieg
is among Conley's high-profile endorsers, along with Sen. Mark Kelly, D-Ariz., former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, Sen. Elissa Slotkin, D-Mich., and Rep. Pat Ryan, D-18th District. Conley lists the endorsements here.
Lawler has received endorsements from several prominent Republicans, including President Donald Trump. Trump has endorsed Lawler several times on social media and in person during a visit to Rockland County in May.
After months of calls from Lawler for televised debates, the two candidates are scheduled to face off on News 12 on Sept. 28 and on PIX11 on Oct. 14. The News 12 debate will air at 8 p.m., according to the network.
