'Big Brother' Season 28 returns to our screens tonight, Wednesday, Sept. 2, following Sunday's cliffhanger episode.
Week 8 of 'Big Brother' started differently than most, as the 1,000th episode medieval-themed twist was revealed and eliminated the usual Head of Household competition.
Previous 'Big Brother' players hosted a string of medieval-themed competitions, and we learned the loser would be sent packing, but the episode ended before the winner and loser were revealed.
So who went home during the medieval-themed twist, and will the winner become the new HOH?

How did the 'Big Brother' 1,000th episode twist play out?

On Sunday, the houseguests were greeted with past 'Big Brother' alumni who hosted multiple medieval-themed competitions, which would lead to one of the houseguests leaving the game.
Each winner of the medieval-themed competitions won "Stones of Safety," which they used to protect themselves, and were granted the power to save another houseguest of their choice. The winners were also able to distribute "Stones of Sacrifice," which they could use to choose two players to continue competing in the medieval games.
The episode ended as Barrett Pfeiffer won the second-to-last competition and was able to choose two other houseguests to compete against Haley Thogmartin in the final competition. One of those three players will be the houseguest sent home.
Barrett's two choices and the player who lost the competition were not revealed during Sunday's 'Big Brother' episode.
