Brewster Fire Department was dispatched to a reported tractor-trailer fire at around 12:30 a.m. July 25 on Pugsley Road in the Town of Southeast, according to a news release.
At the scene, firefighters
confirmed a trailer was on fire that was carrying a load of popcorn.
Crews began an aggressive fire attack, bringing the fire under control while preventing extension to the tractor and surrounding area. Firefighters remained on scene for approximately two hours extinguishing the fire, overhauling the trailer and addressing remaining hot spots.
No injuries were reported.
