Chick-fil-A will open a second location in Stockton on Thursday.
The new location will open bright and early at 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 27 at 10505 Trinity Pkwy. Chick-fil-A is a family-owned and privately held company founded in 1946 by S. Truett Cathy.
"After calling Stockton home for the last 25 years, it’s incredibly meaningful to have the opportunity to continue serving this community with care," said April Farage, local owner-operator of Chick-fil-A Trinity Parkway and Scott Creek in a company news release. "Opening a second Chick-fil-A restaurant allows us to expand that commitment by creating more opportunities for Team Members, welcome more Guests with genuine hospitality and continue investing in the people and organizations that make
Stockton a special place."
Farage also owns the March Lane Chick-fil-A, according to the company's website.
In celebration of the new restaurant, Farage and her team will hold a Moove-In Party and opening day. They invite guest to show their "spots."
"Whether it’s a full cow suit or a simple cow-spotted accessory, Guests of all ages are invited to join the fun," company officials stated. "Anyone who visits the restaurant on opening day dressed in cow spots can redeem one free entrée or kid’s meal inside the restaurant or in the drive-thru."
In honor of the new restaurant, Chick-fil-A will donate $25,000 to Second Harvest of the Greater Valley, according to the company.
"The opening of this restaurant brings Chick-fil-A‘s total donations to Feeding America partner food banks in the Sacramento-Stockton-Modesto market to $100,000 this year," the news release states.
The Trinity Parkway location also participates in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table program, that "redirects surplus food to local nonprofits, helping to create over 42 million meals nationwide to date."
The new location is creating about 85 new jobs, the company stated. The company's careers website currently does not show any open positions for the new Stockton location.
The new Chick-fil-A restaurant will be open 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday, with drive-thru service open until 11 p.m.
