Stockton Truss LLC has filed a WARN layoff notice with the California's Employment Development Department (EDD).
According to the filed layoff notice from Aug. 18, 65 employees will permanently lose their jobs at Stockton Truss LLC, at 4408 E. Fremont St. in Stockton, by Oct. 18. Stockton Truss LLC was one of eight WARN Layoff notices filed in the week of Aug. 16 and 17.
In July, more than 4,708 employees were affected by mass layoffs or branch closures announced in WARN notices in California. In 2025, approximately 86,370 employees in the state were laid off due to branch closures or mass layoffs.
"The 65 workers leaving Stockton Truss LLC re-enter a job market where San Joaquin County unemployment stood at 6.2% in June 2026, above the 5.2% statewide
rate (Bureau of Labor Statistics, not seasonally adjusted)," the Law Offices of Justin Silverman, APC website states.

Stockton Truss LLC was founded in 1977 by Travis Nixon, originally as Mid-Valley Truss Inc., according to The Record clips.
"After the success and growth of our first facility in Stockton, California, we opened Carson Truss in Carson City, Nevada in 2022," the company's website states. "We now proudly serve both California and Nevada markets, manufacturing floor and roof trusses for just about any project our customers need."
The company specializes in residential, multifamily, and commercial truss truss manufacturing.
