For 30 years, Dell’Osso Family Farm has been a fall staple for many San Joaquin County residents. This October will not be the exception.
Dell’Osso Family Farm will return for its 30th year at 12 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2, at 501 S. Manthey Road in Lathrop. The family farm will be open for the fall season from Oct. 2 through Oct. 31.
"Thirty years ago, our family opened our farm to your family. Since then, we've watched children grow up, families grow bigger and new generations make Dell'Osso Farm part of their fall traditions," the Dell’Osso Family Farm website states. "Thank you for 30 incredible years! We wouldn't be here without you."
Dell’Osso Family Farm will open for the season daily.
- 12 p.m. to last entry at 7 p.m. Monday through Friday
- 10 a.m. to last entry at 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday
Farm attractions begin closing at 8 p.m. Sunday through Thursday
and 8:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, the farm's website states.
The farm will be open on special hours from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 31 for Halloween. Last entry will be at 3:30 p.m. with attractions starting to close at 4 p.m.
From one family to many more
The Dell’Osso Family Farm was founded by three Italian brothers in the 1920's who began farming asparagus.
"In 1997, Ron and his wife Susan, started the first Corn Maze and the Halloween event has grown into a Haunted House, Pumpkin Blaster and much more," the family's website states. "The Dell’Osso Family Farm October event has grown into one of the most popular Halloween season destinations in the nation, with approximately 250,000 people visiting the site each October."
This event is still family operated with the Dell’Osso family involved, the website states. Aside from this event, the farm also hosts events throught the seasons.
Complete waiver before visiting farm
All guests will have to complete a waiver every time they visit the farm. Season pass holders will only have to complete it once. The waiver can be completed online ahead of your visit.
Guests will need to show their email waiver confirmation at the ticket booth in order to receive tickets, according to the website.
To complete the online waiver, visit smartwaiver.com. QR Codes will also be posted near the entrance to complete the waiver on location.
Farm admission
While tickets can be reserved online, tickets can't be purchased online, according to the Dell’Osso Family Farm website.
"Tickets are always available at the farm. We accept cash or credit. (ID required) No Apple Pay," the webiste states.
General admission tickets are $24.95 per person Monday through Thursday, $29.95 per person Friday, $34.95 per person Saturday and Sunday and free for children 2 years old and under.
Annual passes are $85 per person for anyone over 2 years old. These are valid only from Oct. 2 to Oct. 31 of this year. However, Lathrop residents pay $80 per person for the annual pass with proof of residency.
General admission wristbands include access to the corn maze, haunted castle, Dell'Osso Express Train, pumpkin treehouse, mini golf and many more. Attractions not included with general admission are the gem mining, blasters carousel, pony rides and pumpkin painting.
Parking is free at the Dell’Osso Family Farm, according to the website.
