Long before San Joaquin County became known for producing major league talent in the 21st century, players from across the region were already leaving their mark on baseball's biggest stage.
From the dead-ball era to the 1990s, county products appeared in World Series, earned All-Star honors, won Silver Sluggers and built lengthy major league careers.
The list includes an All-Star outfielder who made MLB history with two first-inning home runs in the same game, a Silver Slugger catcher, a College World Series Most Outstanding Player who set a tournament record with 38 strikeouts and players whose careers spanned more than a century of baseball.
