The Lodi Grape Festival returns to Lodi on Thursday for another year of fun.
The annual festival kicks off at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 17, at the Lodi Grape Festival Grounds at 413 E. Lockeford St. The four-day festival runs from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, 12 p.m. to 12 a.m. Friday and Saturday, and 12 p.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday.
"For nearly 90 years the people in San Joaquin County have been gathering to celebrate the grape harvest at the annual Lodi Grape Festival," the Lodi Grape Festival webiste states. "What started out as a small food festival in downtown Lodi has now evolved into a four day event filled with great entertainment, food, vendors, grape and commodity murals, competitive exhibits, carnival and so much more."

This year the entertainment lineup at the Lodi Grape Festival includes A Flock of Seagulls, Dream Like Taylor, Rodney Atkins, Grupo Bryndis, The Drumheads, Paul Bunyan Lumberjack Show and many others.
Festival entertainment staples like carnival rides, the petting zoo, reptile exhibit, tractor town, competitive exhibits and commercial vendors.

Carnival wristbands and festival admission
Unlimited Carnival Ride wristbands will be $25 on Thursday when purchased at the Lodi Grape Festival at the carnival ticket boxes. On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, unlimited wristbands will be $38 when purchased at the carnival ticket boxes, according to the Lodi Grape Festival website.
Individual ride tickets will also be availabe for purchase for $1 per ticket.
"All rides take between 4 and 7 coupons each and games are between 5 and 10 tickets each," the festival's website states.
Admission for the festival is $10 for youth (ages 6 to 12 years old) and $15 for adults. Children ages 5 and under enter for free. From Thursday through Sunday there will be admission deals. Tickets can be purchased online or at the gates on the day of the event.
- Family Value Day on Thursday with everyone 16 years old and under enter free all day.
- Free til' 5 Day on Friday, all festival goers enter for free from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
- Two for $2 til' 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday when you bring two cans of food, you will get admission for only $2 from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m.
Cash will not be an accepted form of payment at the official festival parking lots. Parking is $12 with credit or debit card only, according to the festival's website.
