Food 4 Less will be opening a new store in Manteca this September.
PAQ, INC., which operates as Food 4 Less and Rancho San Miguel Markets, recently announced it will open its second store in Manteca soon. The current Food 4 Less location is at 131 Spreckels Ave., in Manteca.
The new grocery store will celebrate its grand opening at 7 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2 at 2301 W. Atherton Drive in Manteca.
"We have been serving the City of Manteca for over 25 years, and we are excited to debut our new Food 4 Less brand evolution concept to this community," PAQ, Inc. CEO Mike Molinar said. "This store is unlike any Food 4 Less we have ever built and will be unlike any Food 4 Less ever seen."
There are currently 7 operating Food 4 Less location in San Joaquin
County.

"The new Manteca location introduces a fresh, modern shopping experience unlike any other Food 4 Less store," the company said in a news release. "Designed to meet the needs of Manteca’s diverse and busy shoppers, it offers an expanded selection of unique products, specialty departments, and convenient foodservice options—all while delivering the exceptional value and everyday low prices customers have come to expect from Food 4 Less."
Customers visiting the new location can expect a full-service meat and seafood department, farm-fresh produce, grab and go meals, handcrafted sushi, organic and natural favorites, authentic international foods, a fresh juice, smoothie and coffee bar, and bulk foods, according to the company.
Jobs at the new Food 4 Less
Food 4 Less is still hiring for its new location. The company posted on the company's Facebook on July 15 it was hiring.
As of Monday, Aug. 24, there were 15 jobs open on the company's hiring website. Open positions range from night general clerk to relief manager and cake decorator.
"The Cake Decorator is responsible for creating visually appealing and delicious cakes, utilizing various techniques and decorations while exceeding customer satisfaction and following all food safety standards," the website states.
The cake decorator position pay range is $16.90 to $22. Minimum qualifications are to have a high school diploma or equivalent with a culinary school diploma or equivalent being a plus. Also, experience being a cake decorator or in a similar role is also needed.
