There is plenty of volleyball talent to go around in San Joaquin County.
League MVPs and Players of the Year are back. College commits are putting together big seasons, while some of the county's younger players are quickly making names for themselves.
And with the 2026 season well underway, it's time to take a look at the best of the bunch.
The Record considered past production, accolades and what players have done so far this season.
Here are the top 25 high school girls volleyball players.
Note: Players are listed in alphabetical order by last name.
Avery Bartelink
Escalon | OPP/S | Sophomore
Whatever Bartelink learned during her freshman season, she brought it back in a hurry, turning 114 kills across 102 sets into 101 kills, 146 digs and 33 aces through only
47 sets as a sophomore.
Hope Carson
Lodi | OH | Senior
A first-team All-TCAL honor set the bar for Carson’s senior season, and she’s wasting little time chasing it with 50 kills through 23 sets after putting down 137 kills and adding 59 digs as a junior.
Erin Chunn
Lathrop | OH | Senior
Last season’s 224 kills set a pretty high bar for Chunn, but maybe not high enough — the senior already has 103 kills, 45 digs and 22 aces through only 33 sets.
Peyton Diel
Lodi | OH | Senior
The TCAL already knew how dangerous Diel could be when it named her Co-Offensive Player of the Year, and 54 kills, 40 digs and 16 aces through 23 sets suggest not much has changed.
Jorie Eskes
Ripon | OPP/RS | Senior
It’s not hard to see why Eskes is headed to NCAA Division II Westmont College, with the first-team All-TVL selection putting down 278 and 271 kills over the past two seasons before adding another 113 in just 37 sets this year.
Siliana Fa’ataualofa
Lathrop | OPP/RS | Senior
Reigning WAC MVP honors come with some serious numbers, and Fa’ataualofa has followed last season’s 219 kills, 131 digs and 65 aces with 96 kills, 91 digs and 31 aces through 33 sets this year.
Shea Hardcastle
St. Mary’s | OH | Senior
Want to know why Hardcastle was named TCAL Co-Offensive Player of the Year? Start with 428 kills, a total that ranked 13th in the section and 30th in California, and helped lead to a commitment to NCAA Division II Westmont College.
Alyssa Hofman
Ripon Christian | OPP/OH | Senior
A state regional finalist lost 938 kills from its top four attackers, but Ripon Christian has found some of the answer in Hofman, who has 85 kills, 69 digs and 16 aces in 38 sets after recording 154 kills last year.
Aniston Hunt
Escalon | S | Senior
All Hunt cares about is putting her teammates in position to score. The University of Illinois Springfield commit has reached 1,795 career assists with more to come, including 859 last season, which ranked 10th in the section and 32nd in California.
Victoria Keller
St. Mary’s | S | Junior
Consider Keller’s sophomore season an introduction. In her first varsity action, the setter piled up 492 assists and walked away with first-team All-TCAL honors.
Jolie Lam
Tracy | OH/DS | Senior
Year after year, Lam has found a way to produce. She had 190 kills as a sophomore and 186 with first-team All-TCAL honors as a junior, and now has 63 kills and a career-high 40 aces through 38 sets.
Ashlyn Malone
Ripon | OH | Junior
If Malone is gunning for even more hardware as a junior, she’s off to quite a start. After earning first-team All-TVL honors with 308 kills, 225 digs and 43 aces for a section finalist, she has 102 kills, 59 digs and 25 aces through 31 sets.
Rachel Nemee
St. Mary’s | L/DS | Junior
Most juniors are still trying to get on college radars. Nemee can cross that off the list. The UC Santa Barbara commit is already a NCAA Division I player after a 512-dig season earned her TCAL Most Valuable Libero honors.
Ava Pasqualicchio
Tokay | OH | Junior
Some players need time to settle into varsity volleyball. Pasqualicchio skipped that part. She had 225 kills and 49 aces as a freshman, topped both marks in 14 fewer sets as a sophomore and has 110 kills through 30 sets this year.
Taeya Riley
Oakdale | OH/OPP | Junior
Having a Colorado State volleyball player and reigning VOL MVP for an older sister can cast quite the shadow. Riley is stepping right out of it, earning first-team All-VOL honors as a sophomore with 98 kills, 20 blocks and 10 aces.
Alyssa Rupisan
Tracy | S | Senior
Pick your poison with Rupisan. She followed a sophomore season of 443 assists and a wild 81 aces with 363 assists, 201 digs, 49 aces and TCAL Setter of the Year honors as a junior. Now she’s crossed 1,000 career assists.
Sarahlynn Salanoa
Edison | OH | Junior
Freshman year was no fluke. Sophomore year brought an SJAA MVP award. After going from 145 kills and 152 digs to 180 kills and 226 digs, Salanoa enters her junior season with one pretty intriguing question — what’s next?
Gracie Solorio
McNair | S | Senior
One thousand assists? Check. One hundred aces? Check. Solorio has surpassed both career marks after earning first-team All-SJAA honors with 468 assists and 46 aces last season.
Alayna Sprinkle
Ripon | S | Senior
An ace machine with 146 over her sophomore and junior seasons, Sprinkle might be even better at setting up everyone else. Her 982 assists last year ranked sixth in the section and 18th in California.
Emma Strong
Escalon | OH/DS | Junior
Strong had 359 kills, 348 digs and 43 aces as a sophomore and still missed first-team All-TVL. Message received. She’s come back with 144 kills, 104 digs and 15 aces through just 47 sets.
Hannah Threet
Sierra | OH/DS | Senior
Maybe Threet saved her best season for last. After 221 kills, 131 digs and 63 aces as a sophomore and first-team All-VOL honors as a junior despite slightly lower numbers, she has 83 kills, 73 digs and 30 aces through 36 sets.
Trinity Todd
Manteca | MH | Senior
Todd broke through last season and hasn’t stopped climbing. The first-team All-VOL middle hitter has followed 155 kills and 65 blocks with 91 kills, 28 blocks and a .308 hitting percentage as a senior.
Taimane Tu'uga
Manteca | OH | Senior
Winning VOL Most Outstanding Player with 199 kills, 135 digs and 39 aces apparently wasn’t the ceiling. This season, Tu'uga already has 184 kills, 163 digs, 23 aces and eight blocks.
Mary Ustach
St. Mary’s | MH | Senior
Production at the net earned Ustach first-team All-TCAL honors last season, with the St. Mary’s middle hitter putting down 105 kills and getting a hand on 57 blocks.
Alyssa Wilson
Tokay | OH | Junior
Defense earned Wilson the hardware, but she’s far from just a defender. The reigning SJAA Defensive Player of the Year had 222 digs, 183 kills and 79 aces last year after posting 339 digs and 91 aces as a sophomore.
