The family of a 23-year-old Stockton Navy veteran are pleading with the community to help locate their loved one after he was last seen on July 19 at In-N-Out.
O'bonjai “Bonj” Skaggs was last seen leaving the In-N-Out located at 2727 W. March Lane wearing a purple short-sleeved shirt, black shorts and dark colored shoes, according to the Stockton Police Department.
Police said Skaggs was riding home on his bicycle before he went missing. The bicycle was located, but Skaggs still remains missing.
He is described as being six feet, four inches tall, 170 pounds, brown hair, brown eyes, and his race is “mixed,” according to the missing person flyer from Stockton police.
On Sunday, July 26, loved ones and volunteers organized a search party to look for
Skaggs. Everyone met at the last place the veteran was seen before he disappeared.
A flyer stated the ground search covered Interstate-5 at Brookside Road and extended to White Slough.
Since the disappearance, family members have made pleas on social media to help bring their loved one home.
Debbie Bernard-Fuentes, who stated on a Facebook post that she is the grandmother of Skaggs, said she feels hopeless not knowing where her grandson is.
“Our family is so devastated not knowing what has happened to him,” she wrote on social media. “They do have video footage of him running & crouching down. So many people know & love Bonj. He has such a good heart.”
Bernard-Fuentes said in the post that Skaggs did not hesitate to help when someone needed it.
“I Love you so much B. We’ll find you. Please keep sending prayers for his safe return. And please keep sharing,” she wrote.
Brandon Skaggs wrote on Facebook, “Please help. If you see my nephew call the Stockton PD.”
Larry Skaggs also wrote on his Facebook page, “So when it rains it pours. This is my grandson. If anyone sees him please call 911 please share. As of Wednesday 07-22-26 still missing please keep sharing to help bring him home.”
The Stockton Police Department said as of Monday, July 27, there were no new updates in the case.
