The Jacksonville Jaguars made several roster moves on Oct. 10 ahead of their game in London against the Philadelphia Eagles, boosting secondary depth and parting ways with linebacker Jack Kiser for the second time this season.
The Jaguars elevated cornerback Jabbar Muhammadand safety Kaevon Merriweather to the active roster from the practice squad for the game at 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 11 (NFL Network) via standard elevation. The Jags were down four defensive backs in last week's game when cornerbacks Buster Brown and Christian Braswell were out because of injuries and safeties Caleb Ransaw and Eric Murray were injured during the game.
The Jags signed former Chicago Bears cornerback Jaylon Jones and cornerback Alijah Huzzieoff the Houston Texans practice
squad earlier in the week and waived Braswell. Jones was declared out for the Eagles game with a hamstring injury.
The Jaguars also elevated linebackerJalen McLeod to the active roster. He had been promoted from the practice squad three times this season. To make room for McLeod, the Jaguars waived Kiser, who was injured on the first day of training camp, cut, then re-signed.
Kiser, who had 10 tackles in 14 games last season, was a fourth-round draft pick out of Notre Dame in 2025. He was elevated from the practice squad in week two and was on the inactive list the last three weeks. McLeod, a sixth-round pick in 2025 from Auburn, has played in three games and made four special-teams tackles.
Merriweather, an All-American at Iowa, spent the 2025 season with Tampa Bay (12 games) and Houston (one game), where he had 11 tackles. He was an undrafted free agent with the Bucs following the 2023 draft and has played in 43 career games (seven starts), totaling 49 tackles (20 solo), two passes defended and one tackle for loss.
Muhammad, who played at Oregon, was elevated to the active roster in week four, where he made his NFL debut after spending the 2025 season on the Jaguars practice squad. He was originally signed by Jacksonville as an undrafted free agent following the 2025 draft.
