The Jacksonville Jaguars got shut down by a stout defense last week in Denver. They have to deal with another one today when the New England Patriots rumble into town.
Trevor Lawrence was held under 200 passing yards for the first time in 10 games (including last year's playoff loss), and the offense overall was stuck in the mud with just 268 yards in a 20-13 loss to the Broncos. Bhayshul Tuten continued his maturation into a lead back, though, running for a game-high 65 yards with a touchdown.
Now they get the team that beat those Broncos in last season's AFC championship game. Both come in 1-1 and sporting top-10 defenses. New England's No. 1 unit has carried the load as quarterback Drake Maye, the MVP runner-up in 2025, has struggled mightily
in the first two games this year. He's got one touchdown, four interceptions and six sacks so far.

But Foye Oluokun, Josh Hines-Allen and company will have to contend with a run game that's shown it can keep games ugly and close. TreVeyon Henderson burst out for a 39-yard TD scamper in last week's 20-3 win over the Steelers, and Rhamondre Stevenson garnered 95 total yards in the season opener.
