When Miles Russell of Jacksonville Beach hits his first tee shot on Oct. 22 in the PGA Tour's Butterfield Bermuda Championship, he will have had almost as many professional starts as he has years on this earth.
Russell, 17 and the world's sixth-ranked amateur, will make his 15th start on either the PGA Tour or the Korn Ferry Tour at the FedEx Cup Fall event, played on the Port Royal Golf Course in Southampton, Bermuda. Russell played in the tournament in 2024 at the age of 15 and missed the cut. This will be his eighth PGA Tour start, to go with seven Korn Ferry Tour outings.

Russell is grouped with Ben James and David Ford in the first two rounds. They will tee off No. 10 at 1:11 p.m. on Oct. 22, and off No. 1 at 8:41 a.m. on Oct. 23.
Russell
made the cut earlier this year at the U.S. Open (finishing tied for 39th) and at the Puerto Rico Open (tying for 50th). He also had his best finish in a pro tournament so far with a tie for 15th at the Korn Ferry Tour's Club Car Championship in Savannah.
Russell has made two cuts on the PGA Tour and three on the Korn Ferry Tour. He has a 71.9 scoring average in PGA Tour events and 69.75 on the Korn Ferry Tour.
