Rebuilding Together Greater Florida, part of a national nonprofit that repairs homes and revitalizes communities, has opened a Jacksonville office.
The organization focuses on housing preservationfor low-income homeowners.
"Prosperity starts with place," CEO Jose Garcia said. "We have a deep and long-lasting commitment to strengthening communities through our mission."
The expansion into Jacksonville was funded in part by a $40,000 grant from The Community Foundation for Northeast Florida. “Housing is a critical issue and bringing a high-capacity partner that understands our state and our market is an instant win," said James Coggin, the foundation's vice president of programs.
