There's no time to waste.
Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Liam Coen said his team must be prepared for the New England Patriots regardless of the team's Week 2 result against the Denver Broncos.
"We just don't have enough time to waste looking back. We have a darn good opponent that played in the Super Bowl last year coming into town that we know they're going to be very well-coached, disciplined, a darn good football team with a good quarterback," Coen said to start the team's Week 3 prep.
The Jaguars lost 20-13 to the Broncos last week, a game that slipped away in the second half. The Jaguars allowed 17 unanswered points after leading 13-3 at one point in the third quarter.
The tape didn't look great, and Coen stressed the need to respond.
"A lot of guys understood kind of what took place and the areas in which we need to improve, and it's all of us in it together. That's the best part of it is we have the opportunity now to respond," Coen said.

Sunday's matchup is the team's second true home game of the season and last until Nov. 1 against the Indianapolis Colts. Jacksonville is set to travel to Cincinnati in Week 4 before traveling to London to play the Philadelphia Eagles and Houston Texans in back-to-back games.
Both matchups are designated as "home" games for the Jaguars. The extended time away will give Jacksonville more free time to work on EverBank Stadium's renovations. The Stadium of the Future is set to open at the start of the 2028 season.
The Jaguars will play the majority of their home games in 2027 at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, making the matchup against the Patriots one of the last five true home games for Jacksonville until the 2028 season.
"We need a true home-field advantage this week. Obviously, not going to be here for a while and definitely need the community and fanbase to come out and support as much as possible," Coen emphasized.
Jaguars expecting more from interior pass rush

Jacksonville rarely got in the backfield against the Broncos last week, struggling to bring down Broncos quarterback Bo Nix with few opportunities late as Denver tried to run the clock down.
Among defensive linemen, Travon Walker, Danny Striggow, Matt Dickerson and DaVon Hamilton were the only players who tallied a pressure against Denver, according to Pro Football Focus. Notably, edge rusher Josh Hines-Allen was shut out, according to the football analytics website.
"I think obviously when we've moved Travon [Walker] inside, he's done some good things on the known passing downs. [We] expect Arik [Armstead] to be able to come on for us a little bit more this week and continue to give us some more reps inside," Coen said.
The head coach added rookie DL Albert Regis as a player the team saw good things from last week.
"We just didn't end up finishing at the point of attack, but all that crew ... it's a collective effort and definitely expect to see more," Coen said.
The Jaguars will get an opportunity to pur pressure on Patriots QB Drake Maye on Sunday, Sept. 27 at 1 p.m. at EverBank Stadium.
