The Michael Ward and Jennifer Glock Foundation donated $250,000 to Junior Achievement of North Florida's Experiential Learning Center that will feature hands-on experiences in financial literacy, career readiness and entrepreneurship.
The $15 million center at the Florida State College at Jacksonville Downtown Campus will annually serve about 30,000 elementary through high school students.
Ward, a civic leader and former CSX CEO, said he and his wife Jennifer Glock "believe that every young person deserves the opportunity to discover their potential and build a successful future."
Shannon Italia, president of the area Junior Achievement, said their investment is about "helping thousands of students discover career pathways, develop critical life
skills and envision brighter futures. We hope this gift inspires others to join us."
