The Florida High School Athletic Association continues volleyball regional playoffs for Jacksonville and Northeast Florida with the second round on Saturday, Oct. 24.
Start times 2 p.m. unless noted. Schedules are as listed by the FHSAA, but are subject to change.
OPEN DIVISION
Beachside (25-3) at Tampa Plant (16-4), 12 p.m.
Both the No. 6 Barracudas and No. 2 Plant won their Pool B openers in the inaugural Open Division, including 23 kills from Beachside's Nina Simanic to down Clearwater Calvary Christian. Plant's offense runs through setter Sophie Dostic, a 573-assist senior on the road to LSU. Regardless of Saturday's result, the Barracudas will conclude group play at home on Oct. 28 against Naples First Baptist.

REGION 1-5A
Middleburg (17-11) at Ponte Vedra (18-4)
The rubber match. Middleburg defeated the Sharks 3-2 in August with 26 kills from Katelynn Laezza and 15 from Abigail Grybb, but Ponte Vedra won a sweep on Oct. 8 behind a 17-kill night from Lily Keeley. These are Northeast Florida's two most recent public schools to win volleyball state trophies. The winner moves on to face Gainesville or Niceville on Sept. 28.
REGION 1-4A
Bishop Kenny (14-15) at Fleming Island (23-3)
Bishop Kenny has qualified for 21 consecutive regional finals, but to make it 22, they must knock off a Fleming Island team that defeated them in districts last week. That match included 21 kills from the Golden Eagles' Lauren Brosky and 12 from the Crusaders' Chloe Johnson. The winner plays Oct. 28 against Panama City Beach Arnold or Choctawhatchee.
REGION 1-3A
Wolfson (20-6) at Pensacola Catholic (24-4)
A chance for a happier Panhandle trip for Wolfson after a controversial call ended their 2025 run. Sophomore Averie Porter has the hot hand for the Wolfpack with 41 kills in her last two matches against Bolles. Pensacola Catholic will be difficult, though, with six 100-kill attackers led by Ava Bradley at 358. A Wolfpack win means an Oct. 27 trip to Florida High or South Walton.
REGION 1-2A
Trinity Christian (23-6) at Orlando First Academy (19-7)
Trinity is rolling with a seven-match winning streak, boosted by 22 kills last time out from senior Nova Hewlett and 11 more from Raelyn Williams. They'll have a tough test against the Royals' Paeton Wheeler (628 assists) and 6-1 Thayna Da Rosa (306 kills), both committed to Presbyterian. If Trinity wins, they would meet Ocala Trinity Catholic or Destin on Oct. 27.
REGION 1-1A
St. Johns Country Day (12-7) at Christ's Church (20-7)
Christ's Church has won both times against the Spartans this season, including 27 kills from freshman Delainey McLaughlin and 62 kills from eighth-grader Leah Renton in those matches. Kendall Proffitt, also among the area's top basketball prospects, has 132 kills on the year for St. Johns.
Covenant (17-8) at Beaches Chapel (19-5)
This is a historically excellent season for both teams. Beaches Chapel won the August matchup 3-1, with 25 digs from senior Arielle Kindruk. Covenant finished on top in the September rematch. The Warriors' Shelby Woodward (237 kills) is among the city's highest-scoring sophomore.
REGION 3-R
Union County (13-14) at Branford (26-2)
It's a rematch from the district final, which Branford swept last week with 25 kills from Anabella Dicks and 46 assists from Anniston Barnes. Union County needs big afternoons from Morgan Smith, Lydia Waugh and Mallory Waugh, each above 180 kills this year. The winner plays in the regional final Oct. 27 against Mayo Lafayette or Aucilla Christian.
