The first player to depart the opening game game against the Cleveland Browns on Sept. 13 at EverBank Stadium with an injury for the Jacksonville Jaguarswas second-year defensive B.J. Green, who injured his elbow during the first quarter.

Green was announced as questionableto return by the Jaguars P.R. staff.

Green began the game as the primary backup to Josh Hines-Allenat defensive end. He appeared to be hurt while playing on the punt return team.

Green, a Colorado teammate with the Jaguars' Travis Hunter, made the team last year as an undrafted free agent, along with Danny Striggow (Minnesota). Green had nine tackles and two sacks and got more playing time as the season went on. He is also a valuable member of the Jags special teams.

The Jags

may be thin on the defensive line as the game wears on because Bryan Thomas Jr., listed as the third-team end behind Hines-Allen and Green, was on the inactive list.
