Week 10 is here, and for high school football teams across Jacksonville and Northeast Florida, the time to decide district races has arrived.
Key games include Raines' trip to Brevard County to take on Cocoa in a rematch of the 2017 and 2018 Florida High School Athletic Association championship games; Beachside's short drive to Fletcher, a game the Senators need to win to avoid losing ground in the playoff chase; Oakleaf's visit to Gainesville Buchholz, where a Knights upset would likely lift them back into the playoff berths; and unbeaten Hilliard at Cornerstone Classical, where DJ Alderman chases 2,000 yards against Hunter Rowley and the Spartans' explosive air attack.
Here's a closer look at six of the best games under the Friday night lights.
Bartram Trail (6-2, 2-2) at Mandarin (7-1, 4-0), District 2-5A, 6:30 p.m.
Officially the District 2-5A champion, Mandarin is tough to slow down. Shaunqueze Foster is now an 1,100-yard rusher, and the combination of Brysen Wright, Jace Kemp and Knox Annis is burning secondaries. For Bartram Trail, sophomore Xander Camus continues to grow at quarterback, throwing for 305 yards and four touchdowns last week.

Bolles (5-2, 2-0) at Jackson (7-1, 2-0), District 3-2A, 6:30 p.m.
The winner claims the district trophy. With dual-threat QB Hans Price at the offensive controls and a defense that's limited opponents to 92 total points, Jackson has won its last six, but the difficulty steps up against Bolles' elite prospects Xander Edwards, Jaxon Flowers and Asher Ghioto. This on-and-off series has been all Bulldogs: The Tigers last beat Bolles on Nov. 18, 1943.
Fleming Island (4-3, 3-0) at St. Augustine (8-0, 4-0), District 4-4A, 7 p.m.
Simple enough for the Yellow Jackets: Win this one and they win the district. Brandon Whitfield, Ma'kari Spencer and Markeal Logan are among the St. Augustine defensive players coming off big games. But a Fleming Island upset keeps the race alive until the make-up round in November. Zion Longmire came up big last week against Middleburg.
Ponte Vedra (3-5, 2-2) at Nease (5-3, 3-1), District 2-5A, 7 p.m.
The Battle of the Bridge has even more at stake for Ponte Vedra, which is in qualifying position for now. The Sharks' Alexander Winkles racked up 287 total yards last week to topple Fletcher. For Nease, Tyshawn Ford has been a big-play machine in October, including three more scores last Friday. Nease won this game 38-28 in 2025.
White (6-2) at Bradford (9-0), 7:30 p.m.
The injury-hampered Commanders now take on a second consecutive undefeated opponent in Bradford, where Caiden Carn, Jordan Cason, Maliki Cobarris, Raef Cubbedge and Bryan Tyson combine for 17 takeaways. Despite injuries elsewhere on offense, Rontrez Loyd and King Mercer both topped 100 yards in the loss to Columbia. The Tornadoes are seeking a fourth 10-win season in the last five.
Wakulla (6-2, 2-0) at Baker County (6-2, 1-1), District 2-3A, 7:30 p.m.
Year one of stint two has been solid so far for Wildcats coach Jamie Rodgers as sophomores Kelden Dupree, Detron Ruise and Peyton Jones grow into key roles on offense. For Wakulla, Demarkus Roberts has intercepted six passes. The War Eagles clinch the district with a win; if Baker County wins, it comes down to the FHSAA rating, with Godby also in the mix.
