Jacksonville Jaguars safety Eric Murray took a trip to the blue medical tent during the game against the Cincinnati Bengals. He was evaluated for a concussion, per the team.
Murray was injured as the Bengals scored a touchdown, being hit by teammate Rayuan Lane as tight end Mike Gesicki caught a pass from Joe Burrow.
The Jaguars are already without second-year safety Caleb Ransaw, who was downgraded to out with a knee injury. Rookie safety Jalen Huskey is inactive for the contest, leaving the Jaguars with slim options if Murray is ruled out.
The Jaguars entered the game without starting cornerback Montaric Brown and key special teamer Christian Braswell. Cornerback Jarrian Jones
has versatility to play safety, but is currently starting in place of Brown.
The Jaguars will likely turn to special teams ace Lane as they attempt to replace the veteran Murray, if he's ruled out. Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase was downgraded to out with a concussion after taking a hit in the first half.
