The first month of the high school sports season is officially in the books on the First Coast.
Northeast Florida fans have already had the chance to cheer highlights from all across the area, and they're just getting started.
Some of these highlights are now right here in the Florida Times-Union's new Play of the Month series, highlighting top plays from all across Jacksonville and Northeast Florida.
Throughout 2026-27, the Times-Union's cameras will be rolling to spotlight the moments from a variety of in-season high school sports action. For future editions, send clips to Clayton Freeman (cfreeman@jacksonville.com) for consideration in the Play of the Month series.
Now, it's the fans' turn to decide which highlight is on top. Cast your vote to help
crown the first Times-Union Play of the Month winner of the 2026-27 high school season. This poll will remain open until 11 a.m. Sept. 15.
