The Cincinnati Bengals may have lost their chief Jaguars-killer when wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase left the game on Oct. 4 at Paycor Stadium to be evaluated for a concussion.
Chase was tackled by cornerback Jarrian Jones after taking a short pass from Joe Burrow in the second quarter, and Jones was flagged for grabbing Chase's facemask. Linebacker Ventrell Miller then came up at the end of the play and hit Chase, leaving him laying prone on the field.
Chase was taken into the blue tent on the sideline, then went to the locker room. While Jones was flagged for the facemask, there was no additional penalty on Miller. The CBS announcing crew said the NFL replay officials ruled that Chase was not defenseless when Miller hit him.
Chase has caught 34 passes
for 415 yards and two touchdowns in four games against the Jaguars. He had 14 receptions for 165 yards in a 31-27 victory over the Jaguars last year.

At the time of his injury, Chase had three catches for 26 yards against a battered Jaguars secondary that was without cornerbacks Montaric Brown and Christian Braswell, and safeties Caleb Ransawand Jalen Huskey.
