Ronald McDonald House Jacksonville has unveiled a "refreshed brand identity" with new signage, logo and colors designed to reflect the nonprofit's almost 40-year history as well as its growth.
The change is part of a rebranding for the 390 or so Ronald McDonald House programs
in 62 countries and regions across the world that shelters, feeds and transport families while their children receive treatment at nearby hospitals. The new design "introduces a modern visual look while remaining rooted in the organization's enduringpurpose: to remove barriers, strengthen families and promote healing when children need health care," according to the charity.

"The Ronald McDonald House has grown tremendously over the past several decades and our brand shouldreflect
who we are today and where we are headed," said Joey Leik, president and CEO of the Jacksonville location."While our look is evolving, our mission remains exactly the same. Every day, we are focused on keeping families together, removing barriers to care and creating a place where families can find comfort, connection and support during some of life's most difficult moments."
The local Ronald McDonald House provides lodging, meals and other services for about 1,200 critically ill, chronically ill and seriously injured children and their families every year. The Jacksonville location first opened in 1988 with 10 bedrooms across from UF Health Jacksonville and in 2001 relocated to a new, 20-bedroom facility in San Marco. In 2004, another 10 bedrooms were added and a 2016 expansion brought the total to 53 bedrooms.
"The refreshed brand also reflects the evolution of the broader Ronald McDonald House community, bringingtogether houses and family rooms under a more unified identity while maintaining the local connections," it said."Although the appearance is changing, the organization's commitment remains steadfast … madepossible through the generosity of donors, volunteers, corporate partners and supporters throughout NortheastFlorida."
