Jacksonville is once again slated for a visit from the rockin' Ghosts of Christmas Eve.
Trans-Siberian Orchestra, which blends loud guitars, lasers and pyrotechnics with holiday music, is scheduled to return to Jacksonville's VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17. Tickets are $59-$230.
Trans-Siberian Orchestra was formed in 1996 and is one of the biggest acts touring America every holiday season. There are two bands on the road at the same time, allowing for a remarkable 97 shows between Nov. 19 and the end of the year (if you have friends in Albany, N.Y., they could watch the same show at the same time as the Jacksonville concert).
TSO is no stranger to Jacksonville's arena. This will be the 19th time the act has played the venue,
every year since 2006 except for 2013 and 2020, which was the Covid year.
Their shows are more heavy metal show than holiday recital. Sixteen to 18 musicians are on stage, and the shows are big on special effects while remaining family-friendly.
