Outlook: Coming off last week's 3-2 victory over Lexington, the Sporting Jax men remain at home for what will be their last home game until Sept. 25. ... Sporting Jax (3-15-5) earned its first-ever USL Championship point against Rhode Island on March 14, a 1-1 draw with a game-tying goal from midfielder Rafferty Pedder. ... Although the club has not announced a transaction, midfielder Piero Elias was no longer listed on the Sporting Jax roster as of Sept. 10. ... Forward J.J. Williams has scored a team-high eight goals for Rhode Island (8-8-5), which currently holds the eighth and final playoff berth in the East.
