A Florida man died in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash on Sunday morning, Oct. 4, in Jacksonville, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The motorcyclist, a 38-year-old man from Cape Coral, was driving westbound on Interstate 10 near Cassat Avenue when he lost control, veered off the roadway and struck a concrete barrier wall, FHP said in a news release.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Through August 27, the Florida Department
of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles reported 20 fatalities in 301 motorcycle crashes this year in Duval County. In Duval, St. Johns, Clay and Nassau counties, 32 fatalities in 469 motorcycle crashes were reported during the same time frame.
