Two of the top teams from last season square off today at Mile High when the Jacksonville Jaguars take on the Denver Broncos.
The good times are still rolling for the Jaguars, who opened 2026 with a 34-10 trouncing of the Cleveland Browns. They've now won nine straight regular-season games going back to last season (the Jags' 13-4 season ended without a playoff win, though). Trevor Lawrence threw four touchdowns, including a doozy to new favorite target Parker Washington, while Josh Hines-Allen, Travon Walker and the defense made life miserable for Deshaun Watson, piling up five sacks and holding the Browns scoreless until the offense had put up 31.
It was a different story for Denver, last year's No. 1 seed in the AFC. The Broncos' heralded defense
was torn apart by Kenneth Walker and the Kansas City Chiefs in a 31-10 demolition. It didn't go any better on offense, as Bo Nix and company mustered just 176 yards and new lead receiver Jaylen Waddle amassed a grand total of one catch for 2 yards.

Jaguars vs Broncos predictions, picks for NFL Week 2
Demetrius Harvey, Florida Times-Union
Jaguars 27, Broncos 17: "After successful Week 1, the Jaguars continue their regular season winning streak against a lagging Denver Broncos team."
Vinnie Iyer, Sporting News
Jaguars 24, Broncos 20: "The Jaguars won in Denver last December, 34-20, and they continue to match up well with the Broncos. Trevor Lawrence is laser-focused in Year 2 of Liam Coen's offense with the best skill support he's ever had with so many receiving options. That can make it tricky for the Broncos' defense to handle all over the field."
Pete Prisco, CBS Sports
Jaguars 23, Broncos 20: "The Jaguars went to Denver and beat them last December and I think they will beat them again. Look for a big game from Bhayshul Tuten running it for Jacksonville."
Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz, USA TODAY
Jaguars 27, Broncos 24: "Denver's 28 missed tackles against the Chiefs were extremely difficult to square for a unit that has enjoyed such consistency under Vance Joseph. Another error-filled outing would surely be exploited by Liam Coen, who doesn't boast a back anywhere close to Kenneth Walker III's level but can still vex any defense with his creative scheme."
