The Florida High School Athletic Association volleyball season is ready for tip-off.
The Times-Union releases its preseason Power Rankings for high school girls volleyball across Jacksonville and Northeast Florida ahead of the 2026 season. The first matches around the First Coast begin on Monday, Aug. 17.
Beachside, among the state's top-ranked schools in 2025, begins at the top. Teams' 2025 records and current districts are included.
5. Bishop Kenny (19-11, District 4-4A)
This week: Aug. 18 at Tallahassee Lincoln, Aug. 20 at Fleming Island.
Notable: More change than usual in the lineup at BK, but the Crusaders always find a way to win.
4. Middleburg (17-11, District 3-5A)
This week: Aug. 18 at Alachua Santa Fe, Aug. 20 at Bartram Trail.
Notable: Returning setters lead the way for the Broncos into 2026.
3. Wolfson (19-2, District 4-3A)
This week: Aug. 18
vs. Ridgeview.
Notable: They won the Gateway Conference last year, and they're bringing most of that roster back.
2. Ponte Vedra (15-13, District 4-5A)
This week: Off.
Notable: Down-the-center power from Wofford-committed 6-1 middle Lily Keeley makes for difficult matchups.
1. Beachside (26-4, District 2-6A)
This week: Aug. 18 at Trinity Christian, Aug. 20 vs. DME Academy, Aug. 22 vs. South Walton, Aug. 22 vs. Tallahassee Lincoln.
Notable: Barracudas' opening week includes some tournament action in the Big Bend.
On the bubble: Fleming Island (19-8, District 4-4A), Fletcher (24-4, District 4-5A), Mandarin (13-10, District 2-6A), Providence (16-6, District 2-2A), Trinity Christian (19-9, District 2-2A)
