Who's on top? Jacksonville Week 2 high school volleyball Power Rankings

The Florida High School Athletic Association volleyball season is now moving full speed ahead.

The Times-Union releases its Week 2 Power Rankings for high school girls volleyball across Jacksonville and Northeast Florida during the 2026 season.

Beachside remains at the top after a perfect opening week. Teams' current records and districts are included.

1. Beachside (4-0, District 2-6A)

Previous: 1.

Last week: Won 3-0 at Trinity Christian, won 3-1 vs. DME Academy, won 3-0 vs. South Walton, won 3-1 vs. Tallahassee Lincoln.

This week: Aug. 25 at Bolles, Aug. 27 at Nease.

Notable: Add Nina Simanic, with 46 kills already, to the ever-growing list of Beachside volleyball standouts.

2. Ponte Vedra (0-0, District 4-5A)

Previous: 2.

Last week: Off.

This week: Aug. 27 at Middleburg.

Notable: With extra rest, Sharks tip off season

Thursday.

3. Wolfson (1-0, District 4-3A)

Previous: 3.

Last week: Won 3-0 vs. Ridgeview.

This week: Aug. 25 vs. Fletcher, Aug. 27 vs. Baldwin.

Notable: Wolfpack could be playing a preview of Gateway Conference final.

4. Fleming Island (2-0, District 4-4A)

Previous: Not ranked.

Last week: Won 3-0 at Providence, won 3-0 vs. Bishop Kenny.

This week: Aug. 25 vs. Ridgeview, Aug. 27 at Mandarin.

Notable: Two solid sweeps for the Golden Eagles to open the new season.

5. Bolles (2-0, District 3-3A)

Previous: Not ranked.

Last week: Won 3-2 vs. Fletcher, won 3-0 vs. Christ's Church.

This week: Aug. 25 vs. Beachside.

Notable: Izzy Fischer (19 kills), Breznai Smolko (29 assists) had big nights in five-set win over Fletcher.

Dropped out: Bishop Kenny (1-1, District 4-4A), Middleburg (1-1, District 3-5A).
