More than four years after Florida Microsoft executive Jared Bridegan was shot and killed in a Jacksonville Beach neighborhood, the now-estranged husband of Bridegan's ex-wife is standing trial for an alleged murder-for-hire plot this week.
There are three defendants in the alleged murder-for-hire case. Shanna Gardner, 39, and her estranged husband, Mario Fernandez Saldana, 38, are accused of conspiring to kill Bridegan and orchestrating the murder with another accomplice, Henry Tenon. On Monday, Aug. 17, Fernandez Saldana's trial began in Jacksonville, and will continue through the end of the week.
