"Choosin' Texas" country star Ella Langley recently made American music chart history, with the popular tune earning its 20th week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, the company announced Aug. 31.
The singer-songwriter's run is the longest ever to top the chart for a non-holiday song,
now trailing only Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You," which has spent 22 weeks at the top — the longest for any song in the 68-year history of Billboard's flagship chart for all genres.And luckily for Florida, Langley is 'choosin' one Sunshine State city to stop in during her 'The Dandelion Tour.' Who is Ella Langley?
The 27-year-old "Choosin' Texas" singer from Hope Hull, Alabama, cleaned up at last
month's Academy of Country Music Awards, winning Song of the Year, Single of the Year and Artist-Songwriter of the Year for "Leavin' Texas" on May 17 at the ACM Awards show.
She also won an award for Musical Event of the Year for "Don't Mind if I Do," a duet with Riley Green. Last year, she won four ACM awards, including New Female Artist of the Year.
Her debut album, "Hungover," released in 2024, followed by "Dandelion" earlier this year.
